Nice push block!

====That's a pussblock. Very handy. They can be used in front of monitors,
on keyboards, on sheets of writing paper! If nothing else they are
versatile!

Thanks, Bill..
I send them that way on purpose, as some folks have limited bandwidth..
The intent (the road to hell is paved with good intentions) is that they can
read the text and then decide whether or not to d/load the pictures..

Looks like two of mine, Bighead and Littlehead. They're brothers, nearly
identical, and there's only one way to tell them apart.

I have always heard them called Russian Blues. I have one, but he is a
big fraidy cat. Any tool comes on, and he is gone....does not like loud
noises. He is a house cat and never goes outside on the prowl by
himself. He will come out and sit on the porch with SWMBO or on the
patio, and when you are ready to go back in the house, you tell him
"let's go..." and in he comes.

WOW.. If I didn't read your post, I'd swear that was our cat!
My wife saw it and said "that's Ricky's twin, even the gold eyes"..

He and his sister, a tabby named Lucy, were pretty much raised in the shop...
They're used to most noises but don't like high pitched stuff like routers..

In those pictures of Ricky, he was laying under the lathe while I was turning a
bowl, with the DC and air filter running..

We've spent the last year (since we moved to Mexico) trying to convert them to
inside cats, but so far the best we've been able to do is keep them in at
night..
In the states they had a pet door and were in and out all the time, but since we
have coyotes and wild dogs here, we keep them and the dog locked in at night..

Sort of funny.. we adopted 2 very young kittens, not really old enough to be
away from the mother.. We thought since they were sisters that they'd get along
well.
The one in the picture WAS Cassie until he developed a bit and we changed his
name to Cassidy.. lol

Good move. We have coyotes around here also; cats don't stand a chance
against them. Our cat would love to go outside; we let him out in the
backyard with the dog once in a while, but make sure he doesn't start
jumping the fence. He and the dog have an interesting relationship -- the
dog and cat are interested in each other, but very wary.

The cat is definitely interested in hunting, he is forever pouncing on the
hermit crab cage and extremely interested in anything going on outside
(birds, chipmunks, etc.)

One of my dumbass 6 month-old kittens manages to get out once a day.
He has no fear, because he's never been hurt. I spent 25 minutes
following him this morning, while he followed birds and sniffed plants.

He'd probably walk right up to a coyote, and since he's declawed, a
squirrel would kick the crap out of him.

As luck has it, the other guy (his brother) is just too damn lazy to
leave. G

It's sort of a double edge sword.. the 2 older cats go out during the day and
hunt...
The good news is that with 5 cats we don't have mice or scorpions in the house..
The bad news is that they try to bring the "catch of the day" into the house to
play with it..
The partial birds and mice were bad enough, but the 2nd time they brought
scorpions in to play floor hockey with, we started monitoring them on the way
in..

Barry... total declaw or just the front?

If he has back claws he can do an amazing amount of damage to anything that
messes with him..

Front only.

I'd rather not find out how well he can still fight, but that's good
to know.

Yep.. if you play with a kitten by tickling it's stomach, you'll see the back
feet in action...
Our vet says it's a "disemboweling move".. yuck..

We do that, but they're nice to us, no claws! G Even when they
bite us, it's a "play" bite, based on the mice I've found!
