Default OT Nascar

Hei Guys,
Sorry for the OT posting but this is the only NG I read that has a lot
of US subscribers.
We don't get massive nascar coverage here but we get the Bush and
Nextel cups on pay tv.
Can someone tell me what the difference is between the two - is Bush a
junior/feeder series for the Nextel cup?

Thanks
Paul

Thanks for that Barry, I was just curious - oval racing isn't really
my thing (we race road course similiar to Watkins Glen & Road America
here) but I like the closeness of Nascar.

If you want to check out Aussie racing see v8supercar.com.au
Cheers
Paul

Yup. The Busch is kind of the top level minor league for Nextel cup.

Successful drivers seem to progress from local tracks (pro stocks,
trucks, or modifieds) - regional touring series (modifieds or trucks)
- Busch - Nextel.

The odd driver here or there may go from road racing or open wheel
cars right to trucks or Busch cars.

Since we're OT, may I suggest rec.autos.sport.nascar or
rec.autos.sport.nascar.moderated?

Have fun,
Barry
