I'll be in Harrisburg the following weekend for my son's soccer tournament.
I've already found out that there is a Woodcraft and Harbor Freight within a mile of the motel. Any suggestions for other things to see or do? Since it's a family weekend I don't expect to get a lot of time so I'm not looking for anything too ambitious. We will be doing Hershey Park after the tournament. Thanks Martin |

Thanks Martin You could always head south a bit and go to York and watch Harleys being built (says I making a wild assumption that they still have tours and that you might be interested). Or you could drive over to the Reading area and visit Talarico's Hardwoods and buy some goodies. Or you could drive south of Lancaster and visit several other very fine purveyors of wood. Or you could pop up to Pottsville and tour the Yuengling Brewery and take home some very fine beer. -- John McGaw [Knoxville, TN, USA] http://johnmcgaw.com |

If woodworking stuff is of interest try Middletown Lumber in Middletown,
Pa about 10 minutes from the Woodcraft you mentioned, is worth a look. Middletown is also home of M&H Railroad a tourist railroad if you like that type of stuff and if you get to Middletown don't miss eating at the Brownstone Cafe "Excellent food". Greg I guess that covers my interests woodworking, railroading and food. Not necessary in that order. http://www.middletownlumber.com/ http://www.woodfinder.com/listings/012191.php http://www.mhrailroad.com/ "Martin Rost" rostmartin @ hot mail . com wrote in message ...
