Goya+Aladin+Drozda = ?
Another semi - Wild Hare Idea - that started out by seeing if I could
turn a Cindy Drozda type tall, thin finial - in oak (not the best wood to turn thin). Got to play with pearlescent paint, TransTint dye and shoe dye along the way, as well as a spindle gouge - with a fingernail grind. Fun little turning that doesn't use a lot of wood and doesn't have to take long to do. Also fun to play with. Here's a link to it http://web.hypersurf.com/~charlie2/T...p/GoyaTop.html This page has a link to the YouTube vid of the piece in action. |
