Yeah, and it doesn't quote prices anywhere. But in all honesty most of the bikes we buy are Japanese anyway so most are foreign already. Why take it against these scooters in particular? |

I remember looking for a car back in the 80's and not liking the interior of the Vett or Trans Am.. My brother had a Toyota Celica and loved it, suggested I try Toyota.. My response was probably typical: "A Japanese car, I'm not buying a cheap scrap metal car".. He asked me how many bikes I'd had over the years.. "about 8" He asked how many of them were made in the US.. "none" I ended up buying an '81 Supra and loving it.. mac Please remove splinters before emailing |

(& I'm not even gonna drag Koreans in...) Point is that Japanese companies put together the entire infrastructure to support ongoing business - just like Mac points out with autos.... AND they DO measure & improve quality - Chinese are clueless when it comes to "six sigma".... So far Chinese companies have NO infrastructure - OP point was that anyone who does fall for 1 hasta realize when it breaks (& all bikes break) there are no spare or replacement parts, other than buying a 2nd one "for parts"...... Caveat Emptor BIG time! (Sometimes I jus cain't keep quiet....) NGA |
