Any drawbacks to using acrylic resin stabilized wood ?
I purchased some blanks on ebay for pens and the seller allows you to
choose whether or not the blanks are stabilized with an acrylic resin. Anyone have any bad experiences with turning blanks that have been stabilized in this manner ? The blanks are mainly burls like Thuya and Amboyna. Should I turn these at a lower speed as if I were turning a pen made entirely from plastic ? -- Brad Curfman a href="http://www.curfman.net"http://www.curfman.net/a |
