Problem With Painting New Plaster
Hi,
I've recently re-plastered some areas of blown plaster (about 2mm thick) and after two weeks I sealed the area with one part emulsion, three parts water. I then emulsioned, but now find there are a few little cracks showing, and the paint is raised around the crack. There aren't many of them and they are no longer than 1/2". Whilst not straight, they are generally vertical. Is this a symptom of painting before the plaster's dry? Thanks Gary |

And a slight extension: how long is long enough to wait before tiling or
painting new plaster? If you use a specialised paint like Dulux Trade Supermatt, you can paint pretty quickly afterwards, much quicker than a standard vinyl emulsion. Christian. |
