Loft insulation.
Just been using some "NEW" 100mm loft insulation from wick's. It's
pink, and much bigger. !! Incredible stuff, it just grows in thickness from about 10mm to 100mm when unrolled. (Still talking about loft insulation here!) Anyway, my query is, it says current regulations state minimum of 270mm thickness in the loft. I am wondering whether that 70mm difference between just using a double thickness of 100mm stuff and a 170 + 100 layers would really be justified. I would imagine you'd be looking at 10's of years heating to realize any significant fuel saving.
