Hi all
I hope to lay electic undertile heating to a sound, dry concrete floor that has a 10mm hard bitumen (asphalt) covering, which is in good condition and is level. This will not be the sole heat source, but merely for comfort. Will the bitumen melt?! I don't want the extra thickness of an additional insulation layer such as 10mm Mortex. Any advice appreciated. Thanks Noah |

Thanks Noah Noah, Bitumen is funny stuff and may well have long term slow effect on the insulation of the UFH. I would ask this question of the manufacturer of the system you plan to use. regards Bob |
