Default Double Countersunk

Countersunk screws I understand, they have been around a long time. But
double-countersunk - what does that mean? I am looking at the screw
supplier's web page and they look like countersunk, only half the price
(some of them)

They've got "nibs" on the underside of the head so as to shape the countersink, rather
than simply
being smooth. Same as on one pattern of traditional countersunk bits.

The thread directly beneath the head is different as well

That's on that particular brand at least.

All in all, you'd imagine they'd be that more expensive to produce

Ok thanks, I was visualising a machine screw, not a wood screw.
