Virgin are worse. Their standard PAYG recently changed so they have a £2
a day minimum *separately* on phone, text and data. So that's £6 if you
use all three, even if trivially.

Strictly speaking it was. If you did not use your phone then there was
no charge. But that announcement was a year ago for existing PAYG
customers. IIRC that coincided with discontinuing PAYG for new
customers. Their rates had always been been at the high end.
