That's a bit of a ripe statement presumambly from the English who, according
to the numerous reality programs that we see on the "box" about council
clean-ups, always seem to live in houses full of s**t - as one poster here
said "its always in the carpets" - quite literally in your case.

PJ August 23rd 04 08:18 AM

Its the carpets, its always the carpets!

Can't be, there are no carpets.

PJ August 23rd 04 08:19 AM

Oh dear, someone with no sense of humour. Ahhh, never mind.

No, no welsh so that can't be the problem.

Good point but I'm not English either.

Hmm! Have you got a door handle on the inside of this room's door?

Yes, a nice Victorian style brass one with fairy lights on. Why?

No sorry, I was just saying I'm not English in an attempt to eliminate that
from any suggestions as to what could be causing the smell in the room.

How do you know the smell is coming from this room?

How do you know the smell is coming from this room?

Because I can only smell the smell when I'm in the room and no where else.
I've had my nose in all crevices but no smell. Just in the room where it's
really overwhelming.

PJ,

Does the bottom line of your post give a clue?

If it does, it probably concerns the smallest room in the house and the cure
is... Wait for it, wait for it...

Pull the flush to get rid of the solids and foul water, open the window to
get rid of the gas and then use some air freshener just to sweeten the room
ready for the next person. Ah well! it's a try very big grin

Corrrr, thanks Brian. That's done the trick. I'll use this method if it
happens again too. Brill.

Now then, anyone got an old piano??!!

Ah, I see that Brian has solved your problem. I guess you learn something
every day.
Now go and put a note on your toilet to remind you to flush after use.

PJ,

Nice to see that you are remaining true to the charter of this group by
seeking advice and then doing-it-yourself to solve the problem :-)

Now, what's this about a piano?
