I was initially supportive of the government's handling of the coronavirus
emergency but it is becoming clear they're massaging the figures
enormously.

The latest is the government claim about a billion pieces of PPE. Last
night Panorama explained they are counting a single glove as one piece of
PPE.

Why on earth is the goverment doing all this fakery?

One example is hardly all this.

The whole population started off by backing them,

Plenty of them didn’t with the lockdown.

so why spoil it by lying unnecessarily?

So what would be necessary lying ?

The government screwed things up in
the early stages more than they admit

Hardly surprising given the circumstances.

And are still doing that with anyone free to
fly in with no checks at all at the airport.

Its completely and utterly barking mad to
allow romanians to fly in to pick lettuce.

Hardly what you might call an essential.

and the effects are still with us.

Because a late lockdown cant be recovered from.

Hence their need for a continued cover up.

It would be a ****ing sight more surprising if
