Some of the MK range I bought during the 70s seemed to have badly formed
threads or screws, we thought MK stood for mostly Knackered. They were very good quality stuff before that, I've not got involved more recently, hopefully they got over that blip. I thought the screw was made of metal that was too soft. The problem I had was purely as a result of over-tightening. I was always taught that a screw should be tight and I did not expect one to shear off when using a standard screwdriver. I thought MK would be able to extract and replace the screw (which I assume is standard) but to my surprise they replaced the product instead. |

But a modern production facility would not be able to do it and someone in the office where the mail is opened would not be able to wander around trying to find someone to fix it - just not the way things are done nowadays. |
