Still smarting from that defeat you had on the government petitions site,
then?

Reminds us again of how many voted for the 'leave now' petition, and voted
for the 'stay in' one?

Of course you said that was fiddled. But a poll gospel and 100% accurate.
Just like the ones before the referendum and general election.

The last thing the EUSSR wants is a parliament full of Brexiteers causing May-hem. Which is what they're promising.
I don't think there will be an EUSSR election for us.
It's all BS.
May will try to cobble up some deal with Groucho Corbin.
No doubt it will involve giving the EUSSR wads of our cash.

The EUSSR just can't keep any country in that doesn't want to be in.
Their parliament ouldl be full of disruptive Brit. EUSSR haters.
There will be wreckers from other countries too.
I look forward to the imminent collapse of the EVIL EMPIRE.
We need to be out before it happens.

No surprise really. UKIP gained 27% of the popular vote at the last EU
elections. It looks as though most of its supporters have now followed
Nigel to the new party. However, polls taken about the same time before
the 2014 elections showed UKIP with up to 38% support.

Turnout is likely to be key. More people vote for UKIP in the 2014 EU
elections (35.6% turnout) than for them in the 2015 General Election
(66.1% turnout). That suggests that just about all their active supports
voted in the EU elections, as compared to about 43% of active Labour
supporters (i.e those who voted in the 2015 GE) and around one third of
active Conservative supporters. If either of those parties can motivate
their supporters to vote in the EU elections in any numbers, they should
win comfortably.

what's really necessary here is for Farage to "break" UKIP

it's all very well them going head to head for the Brexit vote in the EU
elections where, with PR, they can share seats between them.

but in a GE, a fight between UKIP and Farage could see neither party getting
enough votes to take the seat off the incumbent but harming the incumbent so
much that some fourth party wins the seat instead.

I think that it's likely that fewer voters will be seeing "Brexit" parties
as just a repository for MEP protests at the next GE.

That suggests that just about all their active supports voted in the EU
elections,

Au contraire It suggests that active "other party" voters voted UKIP as a
protest at an election that they thought didn't really matter (and I would
think many agree with item on that last bit, the low turn out proving that
50% of voters already thought that they didn't really matter to the point of
not needing to turn up and vote)

as compared to about 43% of active Labour supporters (i.e those who voted
in the 2015 GE) and around one third of active Conservative supporters. If
