Soldering iron flex. Sources of silicone cable

My cheap soldering iron has a rather stiff PVC cable and I'd like to replace it with something more flexible (and heat resistant). Any reccommendations for replacement? (50W iron). Would need suitable strain relief too (for iron and base station). The existing SR seems to be heat welded to the existing cable outer. How do you do it with heat resistant cable? Tim RS or Farnell - I had some from them a few years ago. -- Email does not work |
