Delaying it would instantly be seen as a ruse to scrap it altogether.
"Delay" might sound more palatable than "scrap" to some folks at first
sight, but just you wait for the reaction if anyone seriously tries to
"delay" our leaving date!

I'm waiting for it with bated breath. What are you going to do? all wave
your walking sticks at once? Block the roads with your mobility scooters?

So what? When you look at the %age of constituents the number is less
than 0.5%.

Curiously, the Isle of Wight seems very concerned about the need for a
debate!

If you look at the numbers for 'stay in' or 'peoples vote' you realise
they polled far less than that.

It is significant because as petitions go, it is massive. And it is
reperesntative and it gives a geographical and constituency based view
of opinion.

Opinion polls are constructed from a far smaller demographic.

Too many illegals perhaps. The whole of SE england and the thames
estuary seem pretty upset too.

the 'Final say' Petition was closed at over 1 million and delivered to
No.10 several weeks ago.

It won't make any difference, it isn't that significant. Your NoDeal
petition even less so. Time to try and get a grip on reality. Stop
making **** up as well.
