Default UFH blender - DIY?

I have to get ready for CH installation...

I have 2 UFH zones to prepare a mixer/manifold for - however, I'm seeing
disadvantages in the ready made manifolds:

1) They are proprietary so spare parts is an issue;

2) Hard to tell if the electric zone valves have microswitches - that
would make wiring simpler;

3) They mostly seem to be designed to take UFH pipe X directly into
them. I have JG speedfit going in on one circuit, but a copper 15mm run
to the other side of the house for the other which will joint to JG when
it gets there.

So given the logic is simple: http://www.ippec.co.uk/assets/3prtmxr1.gif

Does anyone see any problems with:

Standard Grundfoss pump;
2x Standard 2-port CH zone valves for the circuits;
3 port mixer valve;
Isolators;
2x drain cocks to flush and fill loops.

Oh - and something that never seems to feature on manifolds:
Pipe stat acting as a backup limiter if the 3 port goes wrong to prevent
very hot water getting into the loops and cracking the screed.

It seems to me that for 2 circuits, it's less hassle to put up a lump of
plywood and just plumb the parts together, which makes maintenance easy
- all standard parts except maybe the 3 port valve.

This loses the flow meters, but for 2 circuits, I guess a couple of
balancing valves would be enough and balance it like radiators the hard
way - though to be honest, I would think a CH pump blasting water in
would easily saturate 2x 15mm very different loops even without valves.

What does the panel think?
