How very responsible of her, some 45 years after the alleged event. This,

enough about Trump's views.

It might have been cathartic in sone way to publicly relate the
incident, but what good does publicly naming a dead man do? It will
just upset his relitives who did no wrong.

Somehow I dont believe her. Its just my gut reaction. I am a fraction younger that HH. I went to university in 1974. Professors generally didnt do this sort of thing. Feminism in its sexist way had not taken off and what feminism there was in universities tended to leave most of us highly regarded..

I can imagine possibly some banter where she might have made a comment to him about why she might need to do to get a better grade .Maybe she suggested sleeping with him even! Girls did do that. Honestly, I was there and knew about it. But for the most part sex was not a means of improving your degree in the 1970's.

In the 1990's I did hear of a number of cases of pillow talk enhancing
grades.

So, why is she bringing this now? Try to be relevant. Because she is "The Harperson" isnt she? Feminist agenda? Man cant defend himself..... I am more than dubious concerning her agenda here.

Of course, she got a upper second anyway, and according to her she rejected his advances.

Somehow I do wish changing your degree grade back then, but it was not the way things were.

I find what;s more worrying is the women that might have said yes to such things where they have exchanged sex because they couldn't do what was asked so used thier bodies to get what they wanted.
Womens groups never stand up against this sort of thing I wonder why.

Personally I don't think that is more worrying than blackmailing young
women over whom one is in a position of trust. Worrying, yes, but not
*more* worrying.

That is of course without prejudice as to whether I believe the index
event occurred, or not.

They are unlikely to have had reciprocal simultaneous

For the public exposure and to get more to buy her book.

I'm not. She had plenty of opportunity to expose him while he

Too much of a coincidence with the book launch IMO.

There is also something mildly worrying about the idea of putting a new
graduate in charge of a nuclear installation without a little training
and supervised work for people with sound reasons for wanting to make
sure she could actually do it. So I think the worst that could happen
is someone getting into a training course ahead of someone who should
have got better grades than them. Annoying, but not dangerous.

Which makes her much worse than the alleged pervert. She who must be
believed (apparently), promotes herself as a saviour of women, only opens
her mouth when opportunity for maximum self gain is present.

Somehow I dont believe her. Its just my gut reaction.

A friend of mine has known her since university and does believe her.

And why does your friend believe her?...

Are you saying that you could know somebody for the best part of half a
century and not have a fair idea about how truthful they are?

And why does your friend believe her? Was your friend told by her at the
time?

What reason has she to make it up?

For the public exposure and to get more to buy her book.

I'm certainly inclined to believe her.

I'm not. She had plenty of opportunity to expose him while he
could answer the accusation and get it investigated officially.

I agree and it's only a tuesday :-0

Too much of a coincidence with the book launch IMO.

I am a fraction younger that HH. I went to university in 1974.
Professors generally didnt do this sort of thing....

Of course they did.

I don't think they *generally* did it: but I am bloody sure that some of
them did. Probably staff more junior than professors though.

I think it depends on the individual professors start somewhere lower down.
I've seen suspcious thin gs go on here even the guys in the postroom have noticed certain things 'going on'.

Absolutely.
Pathological liars are the best actors there are.

I didn't say anything. I asked two questions, neither of which you answered.
