Default Every third row should be secured with tape......

Hi,

just laying some laminate flooring on Westco Fibreboard Underaly.

Instructions say 'every third row should be secured with tape'.

Dosen't say to what, though :-)

So is this secured:

to the floor with double sided tape,

or

secured on top to adjacent panels, which keeps the floor floating but keeps
the boards in pattern.

I can see possible reasons for both strategies.

Ho hum.
