Roof space alterations ....
I live in a modern house and I wanted a room in the roof space.....I cut all
the useless unused members in the gang nail truss and nailed on members to form a square room.....This room is accessed by a stair open from a bedroom....THEY have stopped the work stating that I have weakened the roof and the bedroom is a fire hazard....how can this be ? ...... |

Gravity is your problem (well, one of them anyway). Ensure you turn it off. If you can't do this yourself then get your local council to do it for you.
