I've never had the cable get in the way, you simply start mowing at

Isn't this basic common sense?

Nah - even when I tried that, it would always snake over the next strip
by an inch or two. Cables are *******s.

How can the cable possibly overtake you? That would be against the laws
of physics.

**** knows. But it did.

I can't see what you could be doing wrong. You're pulling the cable away
from the socket across the lawn. How can the cable possibly get in your
way? It's being dragged behind you!

Presumably he jerks it away from where he has come from and
that is how it gets into the area he hasn't yet mowed at times.

My cable during mowing doesn't look anything like that, though.

Difficult, because it assumes random patterns, depending on which way
I pull the cable out of the way of the mower blade. What I really need
is is a webcam on a tall stick that I can point down towards the earth
during the whole mowing event. Maybe invest in a hobby drone? Then
post the pics on YouTube for all the world to marvel. Especially the
Before and After versions -- before washing line and after washing
line.

Do YOU have a horizontal washing line in your garden? Try the cable
hanging trick! It may make your experience even better. Even erect one
if not. (Oh, no! We're back to well hung!)

I don't have the cable problem in the first place. It simply lies behind me as I'm pulling it away from the socket.

Fifteen minutes has passed, 30 minutes, then 45 minutes.
Sweat is pouring off both of them.
The wife finally looks up and says, "What's the matter, darling, can't you think of anyone else, either?"
