Aldi stud detectors and lath and plaster
In article , GMM
GlMiMa-AT-yahoo.co.uk@?.? writes I see Aldi have a stud detector listed for a tenner tomorrow (Sunday). Has anyone tried one of these for lath and plaster (which is typically thicker than PB)? I'm in the market for one and was just about to buy a Zircon E50, which seems to be favoured here. If teh Aldi one were likely to perform well, then it would save me 20-something quid for something I'll only use rarely. On the other hand it could be a waste of a tenner and cause some (more) profanity..... I haven't used the Zircon but have found the Lidl/Aldi offerings to be pretty **** in terms of sensitivity and discrimination so I would say pay the extra and save some heartache. -- fred it's a ba-na-na . . . . |
