Before I went to live in Reading, almost everyone I knew said: "You don't wanna go THERE! It's a DUMP!" But I went there (I didn't have much choice if I wanted to keep my job), and, if there was ever any doubt in the matter, I can now indeed confirm that it's a dump. The electric shutters at one of their underground carparks packed in and I was sent to fix them. And yes he did give me a ticket whilst I was fixing them. The PCSO that turned up said if I did not calm down he would call the police and have me arrested. All I said to the warden was "I know your are only doing your job, but it's a ****s job and only a **** would do it". That is not IMHO a breach of the peace but a fact.
