Default The Scout Hut - emergency light update

It turns out that the lead flashing has not yet been replaced. I know this
as it is ****ing it down and I have just called in to replace the emergency
light. Water was dripping through the ceiling.

A fat ******* had decided that if the emergency light in the kitchen was not
replaced then the place would have to be closed down for safety reasons (not
the info I received last week).

I did point out that if I fit the light then the electrics will trip - and
more to the point I cannot legally fit the light and power up the circuit.

There is still a working non-maintained emergency light in the kitchen above
the exit door and the place is IMHO safe and legal from an emergency
lighting point of view.

Is it impossible to keep water off it with polythene?
