My 1999 Potterton Suprima 80 installed by Scottish Gas has been very
unreliable - several changes of PCB and other footling faults which cause it
to breakdown in cold weather. The Scottish Gas repair man last time
recommended a Worcester Bosch 24RI - reliable he said. The Suprimas have
been notorious.

Anything involving British Gas is best avoided. Their installation work is usually sub-contracted out to local Gas Safe installers, who cut corners to turn a profit. Bargepole, with, touch, wouldn't. a: rearrange to form an appropriate phrase.

Potterton were formerly good, but are no longer. They've been trading on the good name for a long time. Vaillant, Viessmann and others are better.

When someone comes to me and asks for a BG, Wickes or whatever other
badged up bag of ****e boiler, my heart sinks -

poorer quality than the original and uncertainty about parts since they
are not always properly catalogued

Buy ****e, live with it
