Gas Boilers
Slightly off topic, but does anyone have a view on the relaibility of
a 'British/Scottish Gas Potterton Precision High Efficiency Boiler'? Or, for that matter Potterton boilers in general over the last few years? TIA JonH |

TIA JonH My 1999 Potterton Suprima 80 installed by Scottish Gas has been very unreliable - several changes of PCB and other footling faults which cause it to breakdown in cold weather. The Scottish Gas repair man last time recommended a Worcester Bosch 24RI - reliable he said. The Suprimas have been notorious. |

Their installation work is usually sub-contracted out to local Gas Safe installers, who cut corners to turn a profit. Bargepole, with, touch, wouldn't. a: rearrange to form an appropriate phrase. For example; http://www.diynot.com/forums/plumbin...ttings.349916/ Potterton were formerly good, but are no longer. They've been trading on the good name for a long time. Vaillant, Viessmann and others are better. |
