best plaster/mix for heat resistance
Old fire grate is out and log burner fits nicely in the hole - needs
tiling and make a hearth at the front and plaster inside and the edges at the front to make good. Would a rough sand mortar and then pink finish take the heat of being sat 100mm from the stove - I can see it separating and cracking? Would one coat plaster be a better option and would it go on 25mm deep without sagging or best done in layers? ta :-) |
