Default European pipe fittings

I could not resist buying a kitchen sink tap in Italy last week, I
took a chance because it was so cheap. However, as I suspected the
threads are different to UK, it has two flexi hose connectors with a
10mm? thread into the tap and an 18mm the other. Does amyone know if
there is any possible way to connect them to my current fitting.

Although you may be 'stuck' with the 10mm [ which thread into the base
of the tap ] I'd be surprised if those 18mm dia threads aren't really
a BSP pipe size.
Almost all pipe threads in Spain, for example, are really BSP sizes,
In fact they refer to them as cinco ochos 5/8, or tres cuartos 3/4.

Yes simply replacing the tails with ones suitable for UK use.

Or you can get 15mm x 12mm compression fitting from many plumbers
merchants. The threads on the 12mm side are 3/8" BSP which will fit your
tails.
