Is that right? I thought it could work by using exactly the same ballot
paper as AV but with the votes counted differently to give a result in
one round in all but a minority (around 1 in 10?) of elections. See eg

You are not wrong but may well be outvoted by all the FPTP supporters. ;-)

ISTR that Condorcet is the method used to elect the uk Usenet committee.
I can't see how such a horrendously complicated system could be
implemented until all voting is done by electronic means even though it
probably is by far the fairest system around.
