Most call centres etc seem to be located abroad anyway. It will be great for on-line gamers and people who download massive files. I can't understand why the Government is so keen to promote it. Am I missing something here?? Have you ever tried to run an internet based business from a rural area where it can be a struggle to get 255kbps, even when you are paying for a 5:1 contention ratio? Depends on the nature of the business, but surely the sensible thing is to have the servers in a different place from the the people? |
