![]() "dennis@home" wrote in message ... "dave" wrote in message ... I think the two bottles are not the same. I have a Camping Gaz 907 bottle (6 lb) that has a right hand thread. From what I remember Gaz had a female RH thread and had a ball valve. Propane had and still has a female LH thread and an on off tap. Calor butane used to have a male thread (I think) and an on/off tap, it was replaced by the clip on regulator a while back. Then there is patio gas which I believe has another clip on connector. I have no idea what the new transparent(ish) ones are like. My arrangement has a 90degree adaptor with a LH Threaded nut to fit the Calor Bottle - at the other end is a RH Thread to accept a Gaz regulator with on - off valve. I recall this arrangement was popular at the caravan dealership I used as it enabled people to obtain Gaz when abroad without changing regulators. |
