Default Phosphor bronze spherical motor bearing suppliers - UK

I anticipate having to replace some bearings on a used electric motor I'm
bidding on on eBay.
It's quite a difficult motor to get hold of and has specialist mountings and
dates from the 1980 - 90 period.
Once fitted it is a major job to remove again - hence bearing replacement as
a safety measure.
Probably best to replace the motor brushes too before fitting.

I don't have the motor manufacturer's part No. or make yet.
It's not a big motor, probably about 6 inches long, and I don't yet have the
bearing details as the one it is to replace is, again, deep in the guts of
the mechanism.

Does anyone know a supplier of phosphor bronze spherical bearings in the UK
that sell in small quantities.

I've searched eBay for a supplier but not yet found a suitable one.

Thanks for any links or info.

Not a clue (mine are in 50 year old jam jars with broad-arrow marks)

But I imagine uk.rec.engines.stationary will be able to help.

That's excellent Adam - simply bearings are less than a mile away and I
never knew they were there.

Anyone know a motor brush supplier for odd ball motors.

Thanks.

No spherical bearings though ...

And there are various different outer profiles depending on the
application, be they self centering or whatever

IF anyone does find spherical bearings with an i/d of 6mm, my current
supplier has just gone into receivership and their machinery sold off
