Default Elusive Quarry Tiles

Quite some while ago I built a porch, which I intended to finish off with a
red quarry tile floor.

The porch is open on two sides, so a good storm will soak the floor (hence
my choice of quarry tiles).

I had obtained some sample red quarry tiles made in the UK by Hawkins Tiles
(200 x 200 x 16 thick), and set the floor screed 19-20mm down from the top
of brick steps. This allows for the 16mm thick tile plus 3-4mm of
adhesive.

For the past year or so, I've been trying to buy the quarry tiles, but
without success.

It seems that Hawkins Tiles were taken over by Dennis of Ruabon, and then
Dennis of Ruabon ceased trading.

I've discovered that Dennis of Ruabon are now trading again, but they are
only selling existing stock; they are not manufacturing new tiles.

They don't have any of the red Hawkins style tiles in stock.

The only red quarry tiles I have found are from Portugal and measure 200 x
200 x 12 thick. Using these would require an adhesive bed some 7-8mm thick.

Questions:

1. Does anyone know where I can source some Hawkins red 200 x 200 x 16
quarry tiles or similar (I need about 130)?

2. In case I have to use the 12mm thick Portuguese tiles, can anyone
recommend a good thick bed exterior quarry tile adhesive that will be OK at
7-8mm thick?

3. Can anyone suggest an alternative to quarry tiles that will be
durable, weatherproof and 12-16mm thick?

TIA,

Denis Ruabon's factory seems to resemble Paris Hilton's knickers.

Mostly off...

They've been struggling for ages. On, off, bust, not bust.

Sad.

Open all hours, for regular trade or passing visitors alike?

Why not just fling down some self-levelling concrete and tile
on that with the thinner tiles?

Because the porch screed is gently sloped to shed water. I would sooner use
a thick bed adhesive, rather than put down a thin skim first.

Or use reclaimed/salvaged tiles?

I've considered reclaimed/salvaged tiles, but haven't managed to find
anyone with enough of the right type.
