Hi there,
What is the best way to clean fabric car seats? I have a carpet cleaning machine and chemicals etc. Do you have to pre-spray? |

Depends how dirty they are. Most car seats are 100% synthetic, so they don't stain very much, pre spray 'wets out' the fabric & makes cleaning easier. -- Dave - The Medway Handyman www.medwayhandyman.co.uk |

David coughed up some electrons that declared:
Hi there, What is the best way to clean fabric car seats? I have a carpet cleaning machine and chemicals etc. Do you have to pre-spray? I thought Hans Reiser was already in gaol? |

I know quite a few valeters who simply spray a solution (usually APC), agitate it and use a wet vac to suck all the moisture out. They do this on carpets and seats. Is this method as effective as hot water extraction? |

Is this method as effective as hot water extraction? No. But its quick & cheap. Valeters are by & large thick cheapskates. There is precious little money in valeting these days, so they cut cost wherever possible. Will only give surface soil removal. Likely to leave a chemical residue which will attract dirt in future. -- Dave - The Medway Handyman www.medwayhandyman.co.uk |
