Why?

however when i turned the boiler on later it started leaking out
water so i turned it off it stopped leaking soon after after a few hours

Depends if the PRV outlet pipework has any leaks.
Did any water end up outside?

but if it wasnt this how else could water of leaked from it

Sounds like it's got a leak.
However, since you didn't say _why_ you did what you did, it's
very difficult to guess the sequence of events which lead to
this, and work back to any kind of diagnosis.

also do you
think it may just need resetting and pressurising please help

Well, there are plenty of other gas operatives.
