combi boiler question
often when opening the hot tap (hot water is set to 45 degrees), the
hot water initially comes out scorching hot and then settles to just 'hot' which i can touch ok. so think its sending some water out at central heating temp (72 degrees) first. is this a setting on the boiler , anything i can do about it? its a glow worm 2 years old |

Especially if you turn on the tap at a slowish rate. If you have a model that stores a small amount of preheated water (some hold a couple of litres that they keep warm, ready to minimise the warm up time), they seem less prone doing this. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

Combis are great just as long as you're prepared to accept what *they* give you rather than giving you what *you* want. Tim |
