Lidl have an eletronic musical instrument tuner a the end of this
month...its also a metronome and tone generator with an LCD readout also,
for £7.99.

So if it says an A is 440 Hz, is an E 660 Hz as it should be, or is it
659.3 Hz as most electronic tuners say, and thus makes a violin out of
tune? Yes, a violinist can tell the difference. And if correct tuning
is not considered important, why use an electronic tuner at all?
