I'd go to the man up the road who welds stuff gates and farm machinery mostly He has plenty of stainless offcuts hanging around Maybe you have a similar man locally? Plenty of scrap metal merchants in Trafford Park who may be able to help you, alternatively there's quite a few fabricators there and plenty of places that 'make good' on industrial machinery. Might be worth your while to have a drive around and see if you can strike up a beer/metal interface with one. -- Clint Sharp |

I'm in the middle of nowhere, and my only local enginering company is an agricultural one who consider using a lump hammer instead of a sledge hammer the height of sophistication ... stainless? Ian |
