Cement reinforcing fibre - where to get?
I'm looking for polypropylene reinforcing fibre - similar to
http://www.jhlidstone.com/downloads/...P%20Fibres.pdf . I can't seem to find any local suppliers of this, and the only online ones seem to be at silly prices. (900g/15 quid) Can anyone point me at a more reasonable source? |

Our company uses fibres for screeding and we use a company called Adfil, they seem quite reasonable on price but I'm not sure about small quantities. They can be contacted on 01482 863777. Alternatively, I did see some the other week in our local B&Q near the cement section - maybe worth a look if you have one nearby. Franko. |

Oops - I forgot to calculate out the cement volume. Still, 15Kg for a kilo of string seems steep. |

I wondered if synthetic fibre cloth cut into small squares would unravel in a food processor. Havent tried it - and it would be very thin fibres. NT |
