Why would a water company put such an item in the hole housing the company
valve. No pavement dug up so presumably mounted on existing valve stem so monitoring what ? -- General electronic repairs, most things repaired, other than TVs and PCs http://www.divdev.fsnet.co.uk/repairs.htm Diverse Devices, Southampton, England |

Usage pattern throughout the day? I guess if there's a constant background flow (e.g. all night), that would be a good indication of a leak. -- Andrew Gabriel [email address is not usable -- followup in the newsgroup] |

A bit of steel rod with a wooden drawer handle stuck on the end is all required for a leak monitor. A skilled person to give an accurate estimate of the distance from monitor point but no skill required for basic leak/ no leak determination. -- General electronic repairs, most things repaired, other than TVs and PCs http://www.divdev.fsnet.co.uk/repairs.htm Diverse Devices, Southampton, England |
