Default halogen lights in bathroom- was this a bad idea?

hi there,

i have two bathrooms in my house and have a year ago installed two GEL
22489 (pencil shaped 230v 60W halogen bulbs) inside glass flush
fitting lights

within a year both (brand name) bulbs have burned out (within a few
weeks of each other). i am wondering if halogens are suitable for
bathrooms where you switch on and off for a few minutes many times a
day.

any opinions? thx

I,ve had a single 150 watt halogen fitting in the bathroom for 8 years
now - onto second bulb. It;s also an enclosed fitting. Are you getting any
vibrations from the floor above , slack connections etc ?
