I have been quoted £4000 for the following job,
Supply and fit Worcester Bosch 35CDi Combi boiler. Remove old combi boiler, brick up old flue. The new boiler is to go in the garage, directly below the room in which the old boiler currently resides so there will be some minor pipework to bring down the DHW, CH in and out feeds and the water mains feed. The gas pipework goes past the new location so there is no great work involved there. I have done some research myself and actually got the quoting company to confirm that there are no factors that make the job complex. Am I a bit "out of touch" or is the price a bit high, I know I can get the boiler and associated flue equipment for £1500 VAT inc and that is without a trade discount, that means the actual work is being charged at £2500. Advice would be appreciated. Thanks |
