Power Flushing
A central heating company advised against power flushing when
installing a new boiler as it claimed that residue would still be a problem for a new combi boiler. Request was to replace all radiators and boiler. they planned to replace boiler, pipework with plastic pipes and radiators all new. Competitors replacing boiler, radiators and boiler plus power flush but leaving old pipework in place, claimed that power flush might also lead to later leaks. System is 40years old.Boiler around 15 years. Any truth in risks of just power flushing for boiler or susequent leaks? |

It is aggressive and will clean the system out. Flush out well. Insert a Magnaclean or Boiler Buddy filter on the return pipe to the boiler. If the rads look crap then replace them. |

Like anything else you touch Maxie, that was very poor. I'll give it 0/10. You can do better now. |
