Default Water Heater - only lukewarm water

Hi all,

I have a Main Medway Super water heater thats been running ok until
recently.
Now its only producing lukewarm water - the initial gush is hot , but it
cools down rapidly - what could be causing this? - its also more noticable
now the weathers freezing.

Cheers

JS

Do the flames die down as the water cools?
Are they all blue (and not yellow or white)?
Has it been serviced recently? (ever?)
How old is it and are you in a hard water area?
Have you had any other gas appliance added/changed such as a new boiler?
(thinking gas pressure might be too low).

In winter, you normally have to turn up the temperature
knob to compensate for colder water supply anyway.

Its probably warmer initially because the first bit of water will be
at room temp, but as you draw water off it, it pulls colder water off
the main, so it drops.

Other than that, can`t help i`m afraid :-(
