Default Flexible tap tails with valves

I used to have a multipoint, and the old shower had a pressure
reducing valve on the cold feed - are valve-equipped flexible tails a
suitable replacement for restricting flow ?

(thinking of a tap/shower mixer instead of a seperate shower mixer)
