mira88 shower
Anyone know how to remove the control unit of a surface mounted mira 88 from the wall ? It looks like it may be necessary to unscrew the water outlet, but it needs a whopping allen key (around 7/16ths), which I don't have.
Alternatively, does anyone know where I can find the installation instructions online ? |

There is a 4mm approx hole in line with and behind the outlet. At the bottom of this is a small allen head grub screw, around 2 or 3 mm. Undo this and the whole job lot should come out if the inlet pipes are flexible enough. If the inlet pipes are off, it is likely to fall out and take a chunk out of the shower tray. My newsreader can't locate the OP. bland |

The 88B in this page seems to be the flush mounted version. The surface mounted one is no. 88 http://www.showerdoctor.co.uk/shower...ra/mira-88.htm and the whole thing is kept in place by one little grub screw #618.23 in the diagram which holds the metal mechanism in a shallow plastic cup #055.14 which is screwed to the wall. bland |
