Default Removing radiator

I want to remove a radiator so i can do some decorating behind it. I
have it on a sealed circut powered by a combi boiler. Any tips about
removing and refitting it. I don't want to pay a plumber if i can do
the job myself,

Andy

Rather more than you need to know in the SealedCH faq.

Hi Andy

If you turn off the 'in' and 'out' valves you only have the water in the
radiator itself to deal with. Wet vacuum cleaner is great, tray underneath
works.

I've seen this "simple" operation go wrong a few times. Is it worth
risking a Hamlet cigar moment when nobody's going to see it?
With old wallpaper I try and cut a straight line level with the rad
brackets and redecorate up to that

Personally, I fail to see why people bother to remove radiators to
decorate behind them.

Just drop the paper or paint down as far as brush/roller will allow and
no-one will ever know there is a patch of 1970's floral wall-paper or
what ever behind it.
