Whats the longest line one can use to lay a course of bricks too?

25 Feet just does not give a flat line, even with a line nearly ripping
the mortar out.

I have a 38 foot run of wall with a double brick Tee at 30 ft.

I've found it helps to use a strong rubber band at one end of the line -
keeps the line under constant tension. Used it over 6 metres.
