Does this do what I think it does? Don't know, what do you think it does? It may work as an aerial if you are in a very good reception area, otherwise it makes for an ungly ornament. It seems to replace the through the wall aerial cable and provide freeview channels. http://tinyurl.com/72upa Any aerial (so long as it is an appropriate group for the transmitter you are using) provides Freeview channels. An outdoor aerial on the roof will work best, one in the loft next, and an inside one last. Note the product you linked to contains an amplifier. You are generally better off without one unless you actually can't do without it. Use this page to work out what transmitter you are on: http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/transmitters.html and hence the group (i.e. frequency range) of aerial required (again go for the grouped aerial if avaiable rather that using a wideband). -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

However unless you buy a TV/VCR/DVD Recorder with an integrated digital tuner then you won't be receiving freeview without a separate tuner box. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

... Hi all. Does this do what I think it does? It seems to replace the through the wall aerial cable and provide freeview channels. http://tinyurl.com/72upa Arthur, it will not allow you to watch Freeview unless you have a set top box/decoder/digital tuner/ etc... Go back to the product page and hover your mouse over the "Receives both analogue and digital TV channels" on the Features page. HTH John |

It's not the number of channels, it's the number of tuners which is important So you can pick up terrestrial channels on the TV set and whichever channel the freeview box is tuned to -- geoff |
