I am looking for spare parts for a Marples M148 dowelling jig. I wrote to
Joseph Marples Ltd., but got no reply. Could anybody give me any clue
about getting these spares?

Hardened I should imagine, but the mnachine shop should be able to guide
you or most likely offer whatever thay have laying around.

It also depends on how much you intend to use them. I once made drill
guides from small bore copper pipe. They lasted long enough as I was
careful with them.
